Meet Nick
A life-long Hoosier Democrat, Nick has not only lived in Indiana, but also graduated from Indiana University and McKinney School of Law.
His father and step-father instilled a love of the law in him from a young age. He knew the law was his calling but never imagined a future in politics until he realized his idols are people fighting for the betterment of not only our state, but our country as well. People like Lee Hamilton, Dick Luger, Mitch Daniels, and Birch Bayh – both Democrats and Republicans.

Why You Should Elect Nick Baker
When you get to know Nick, you’re getting to know your neighbor, a father, and a man who has proven he can stand up for what is right. He’s fought the Supreme Court of the United States to protect the rights of the Marines poisoned by the waters at Camp Lejeune. Currently, he’s working pro bono to get the last of the Ku Klux Klan laws off the books in Indiana. And, if you come across any of his former clients, they’ll assure you that he does what he says that he will do. More simply, you can trust him to do what is right in regard to the law.
What He Believes
- He believes in small government, but that the federal government can do good things for the people of Indiana.
- However, he also believes that the government should stay out of boardrooms & bedrooms. Along those same lines he believes that local government should have the right to govern their city, county, and state.
- He believes in supporting the the farmers who work to feed this nation, not only those in Indiana’s 6th Congressional District, but throughout our country.
Nick is also a dad of two young children. During his free time, he does what parents do, help with homework, take them to the park, zoo, and extra-curricular activities. As an IU alumni, he loves all the IU sports, especially the National Champion football team. He is also currently building his forever home in Camby on a piece of farmland.
When you meet Nick, you’ll learn that he wants common-sense policies. He knows that the billionaires in Congress aren’t helping the average Hoosier. He wants our national government to do good things for the people of Indiana, especially the farmers and other hard-working citizens. If elected, he will work daily to ensure that there is change for the people he represents. He wants to be your voice in Congress, the voice of Hoosiers who believe in small government and practical, common-sense governance.
Democrats deserve more than just a name on the general election ballot – they deserve someone who can win. I believe I am that person in Indiana’s 6th Congressional District.
